INFORMATION LETTER
Dear Colleagues

From April 20 to 22, 2026, the Margulan Institute of Archaeology together with Akhmet Baitursynuly Kostanay Regional University will host the International Scientific Conference for students and young scientists “Akhinzhanov Readings – 2026”.
The conference will cover the following thematic areas:
1. History of archaeological research in Kazakhstan. The role of personality in science;
2. Archaeology of the Stone Age and Paleometallic Period;
3. Kazakhstan in the Early Iron Age;
4. Archaeology of the medieval period;
5. Interdisciplinary research in archaeology;
6. Issues of ethnoarchaeology and Current problems of preservation and utilization of historical and cultural heritage.
Working languages of the conference: Kazakh, Russian and English.
The conference is planned to be conducted in-person with the option for remote participation through Zoom platform.
Participants' expenses are covered by the sending party.
Applications for participation are accepted until December 31, 2025.
The texts of the reports for publication are accepted until January 31, 2026.
All materials received later will be rejected.
Applications and abstracts will be accepted only on the conference website https://archeo-aqynzhan.kz/
The articles and figures must be named with the last name and initials of the first author (Musaeva RS_article.doc; Musaeva RS_figure).
